Agriculture Expert
Asif provides support on assessing the climate information needs and requirements of the agriculture sector in Pakistan. He also provides technical inputs for customizing the Specialized Expert System for Agro-Meteorological Early Warning (SESAME) for Punjab Agriculture Department to improve planning and decision-making, and provide operational support to agriculture extension workers and farmers through advisories.
Asif has more than twenty years of experience with international NGOs and USAID-funded projects. His areas of expertise include finance and accounting, financial and project planning, evaluation and impact studies, and management consultancy for the energy, health and agriculture sectors.
Asif’s professional qualifications include: Certified Professional Forensic Accountant, Certified Business Consultant, Certified Financial Consultant from Canada, Chartered Management Consultant from Canada, and Chartered Accountant Professional from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. In addition, he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Managers, and the Institute of Taxation Management. He holds an MBA degree in Finance.
