Transport Expert

Dr. Muhammad Sabir lends his expertise on assessing the climate information needs and requirements of the transport sector in Pakistan for the CARE Project.

He has over 12 years of research and teaching experience in the areas of applied economics, environment, transportation & logistics, operations, and supply chain management.

Presently, he is Associate Professor and Head of Research at NUST Business School (NBS), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. Prior to this, he worked as Head of the Department of Management Sciences (now School of Management Sciences), Ghulam Ishaq Khan (GIK) Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Topi, Swabi, Pakistan. He also served as Assistant Economic Adviser in the Planning Commission, Government of Pakistan.

Dr. Sabir holds a PhD in applied transportation economics from Vrije University Amsterdam; a Master in Applied Sciences (Applied Economics Research Center, University of Karachi, Pakistan) and an M.A. in Economics (Department of Economics, University of Peshawar).
