World Bank-CARE for South Asia Delegation Visits RIMES Headquarters

On Monday, October 17, 2022, representatives from the World Bank visited the Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (RIMES) headquarters in Thailand. The Bank delegation, composed of Climate Adaptation and Resilience (CARE) for South Asia project team members met with their counterparts in RIMES to review CARE for South Asia’s midterm progress and re-assess plans for project sustainability.

RIMES, ADPC host 3-day CARE for South Asia Regional Workshop

The Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (RIMES) and the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) organized the first in-person Climate Adaptation and Resilience (CARE) for South Asia Regional Workshop from October 19-21, 2022. The event, which was held in Hilton Sukhumvit in Bangkok, Thailand and was livestreamed through Zoom, gathered over 150 onsite and virtual participants representing different government agencies, international development, and non-government organizations from the South Asian Region (SAR) for in-depth discussions on CARE project progress, key milestones, and implementation adjustments moving forward.

On Thursday, October 20, 2022, the Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (RIMES) hosted the first hybrid workshop on the Regional Resilience Data and Analytics Services (RDAS) and various sectoral decision support systems (DSSs) at the Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok, Thailand.
